When I ask very specific questions, the AI assistant gives excellent answers. But when I ask broader questions like “What trends should we watch next year?” the responses feel narrow or incomplete. Is this a limitation of Knowledge Graph–based systems?

Yes, this behavior is typical of graph-based retrieval. Knowledge Graphs rely on explicitly defined entities and relationships. Broad or vague questions often do not map cleanly to that structure, so the system retrieves only what it can confidently anchor in the graph, rather than exploring loosely related ideas.

From a design perspective, this is a trade-off. The system is optimized for accuracy and trust, not for speculative exploration. It excels at answering “what is” questions but is less flexible for “what might be” scenarios.
